Dream Nail Designs

Who said that finger nail designs should be really difficult to make? It's true that the more complicated nail designs require a bit of time and skill, but there are plenty of nail deign models which can be done rather easily, even if you are trying them for the first time in your life.

Just a touch of carefully placed color, can change your look completely. All you need to have are some nail polish products, an ounce of patience and a bit of creativity. The Polka Dots nail design

This is one of the easiest nail designs which you can make as you don't require too many products and skill. You can easily do it your self by first applying a nail hardener and a then a base coat on top of which you add the nail polish color of your choice: red, pink, blue, even green. Then apply a top coat to secure the base color before applying the dots. The next step is to use a small toll for applying the dots (using a contrasting color). Marble nails design

The marble effect is one of the more difficult nail designs, but its effect is definitely worth the effort. Actually, the process is quite simple, however it requires a bit of practice before it comes out perfect. All you need to do in order to get the marble nails effect is to first use some scotch tape to cover up your skin surrounding the finger nails, then prepare a bowl of water. Apply a base coat on your nails and then a white coat. Then you need to pick several colors of nail polish which you have to drop in the water one by one in order to form a pattern. With a pen or toothpick, mix up the colors on the surface of the water in order to get an unique design for your nails. Then just place your nails on the surface of the water in order for the design to transfer onto them. The final step is to add a top coat to protect your marble nail designs.

The reverse french manicure
(aka half moon nail designs)

This is one of the newest trends when it comes to nail designs and most likely it will hang around for a while simply because it looks sooo good. The half moon effect is not difficult to get at all. All you need to have is a base coat, a top coat and two contrasting colors of your choice: red and white, black and white, dark blue and light blue, or any other combination. You also need a set of paper cutout guides similar to those use in the french manicure nail design (you can also use price stickers or something similar). First apply a base coat, then simply place the paper cutout in order to mark a half moon at the base of your fingernail, then just draw the half moon using the lighter color and then fill in the rest of the nail with the darker nail polish shade. Newspaper Nail Design

Newspaper nails are easy to make as they require very little skill form your part. Start by applying a base coat and then add a light colored nail polish of your chose. Let the nails to completely dry out, time in which prepare a small glass of alcohol (vodka will do just fine) and some newspaper cutouts. Dip each finger at a time in the alcohol glass and then take a newspaper cutout and press it firmly on the nail. Wait for at least 30 seconds and remove the paper: you've just completed your first in a long series of newspaper nail designs. As you can see it's fast, simple and it has a stunning effect. TIP: watch out which kind of newspaper you use. Try to get you hands on some old-fashioned newspaper printed with soy ink. Many modern newspapers use a kind of ink which is not really suitable for doing this type of nail designs.

Entropy nail design

If you're looking for easy nail designs which don't require a lot of kit, then this one is for you. The entropy nail effect has a very good effort to looks ratio. All you need to do is to first apply a base coat to your fingernails, then paint them in a dark color. Apply two layers of the dark nail polish and then wait until completely dried. Then apply one layer of a light colored nail polish of your choice. Wait until it's dried also. Then take a cotton stick and soak it in nail polish remover and go about removing parts of the last layer of nail polish. However, be gentle because you don't want to also remove the dark nail polish underneath. Play with the cotton stick until a pattern emerges which you're happy with.
